THE GAME GIFT

A new baby game about the run home

The run home, with someone new at the end of it. Send two photographs and we draw the new parent as the hero, in the style and the clothes you pick.

The picture the shop draws new baby games around.

The story it tells

There is someone new at home.

Very small. very loud.

And Sam has never

Wanted to get somewhere more.

Sam and Alex stand in for the names you give us.

The new baby game is ten levels of getting there, which is roughly how the week feels. The road is long, the hero is running it anyway, and the last level opens on the room where the small new person is. Their name is on the title screen, and the music stays soft the whole way through.

Any of the seven worlds can tell it, and you pick the art style and the clothes yourself.

What waits at the finish

The prizes are the first pictures, which is why this ending exists. Each one comes out in a frame drawn for a new baby, with a line of your own words underneath, then your video, then whatever you wanted the parents to read. On the complete game the photographs move for a few seconds before they settle back into stills.

A prize photograph from a sample game, brought to life for a few seconds inside a gilded frame. The frame the prizes come out in for a new baby game.
An example from the winter birthday demo, and the frame this occasion uses. The people in our sample games are invented.

The prizes, and what is written under them

  1. The first one The first day, and nobody slept.
  2. And this one The face everyone already knows by heart.
  3. And this The people who will tell this story forever.
  4. One more Because there are four hundred of these already.
  5. And the last The one that goes in the frame.

And then the last word

Welcome, Sam

The whole world just moved up

To make room for you.

These are the words we start from. You write your own captions, your own closing message, and choose which photograph comes last.

Add a gift card

You can slip a gift card into the game as well. On the extras step you say what kind of card it is, where it is used, the amount if you want it shown, and the code from the card you bought, with a line of your own to go with it. It comes out after the photographs, in a sealed envelope the player opens, and the code is written on the card inside. Any card from any shop works, because you tell us which. The code itself is never put in the game: it stays on our website, and the game asks for it at the moment the envelope is opened, so a copy of the game gives nothing away. It adds nothing to the price.

The gift card stage of a sample game: a sealed envelope with a gold ribbon and wax seal, with a small tag naming the card and the amount.
ClosedThe envelope as it arrives, after the photographs, in our castle birthday sample game.
The same envelope opened: the card slid out, with the kind of card, the amount, a sample code and the buyer's note written on it.
OpenedThe card with its words on it. The code here is a sample; the sample games are made for invented people.

Three sample games to watch

Any world tells any occasion, so these are only three of the seven. All three are sample games made for invented people.
