Send two photographs and we draw the birthday person as the hero of a ten level game. The present opens with a link, on a phone or a laptop, wherever they are.
The story it tells
It is Sam's birthday.
The cake is ready.
Everyone is there.
And Sam is nowhere near it.
Sam and Alex stand in for the names you give us.
A birthday game starts with a small problem: the cake is ready, the room is full, and the one person everyone is waiting for is nowhere near it. Ten levels later they walk in. Their name is on the title screen, the music is a birthday tune, and the outfit you chose is what they are wearing when the party finally starts.
Any of the seven worlds can tell it, and you pick the art style and the clothes yourself.
What waits at the finish
Then the presents open. Every photograph you sent comes out of a gilded birthday frame with your own line of words underneath it, one after another, followed by your video and whatever you wanted to say. Buy the complete game and the pictures move while they are on screen: a blink, a breath, a bit of hair, and then it settles back into the photograph you sent.

These are the words we start from. You write your own captions, your own closing message, and choose which photograph comes last.
Add a gift card
You can slip a gift card into the game as well. On the extras step you say what kind of card it is, where it is used, the amount if you want it shown, and the code from the card you bought, with a line of your own to go with it. It comes out after the photographs, in a sealed envelope the player opens, and the code is written on the card inside. Any card from any shop works, because you tell us which. The code itself is never put in the game: it stays on our website, and the game asks for it at the moment the envelope is opened, so a copy of the game gives nothing away. It adds nothing to the price.
