THE GAME GIFT

A Mother's Day game where she is the hero

One morning off, and everyone waiting downstairs with breakfast. Send two photographs and we draw her as the hero, in the art style and the clothes you pick.

The picture the shop draws Mother's Day games around.

The story it tells

It is Mother's Day.

For once Sam is not cooking,

Not driving, not fixing anything.

The whole day is hers to cross.

Sam and Alex stand in for the names you give us.

The Mother's Day game gives her ten levels and no jobs to do in any of them. The road is hers, the pace is hers, and at the end of it the people she looks after are the ones standing about with a tray. Her name is on the title screen, and the music is written for the morning.

Any of the seven worlds can tell it, and you pick the art style and the clothes yourself.

What waits at the finish

The prizes are the photographs you would put on a wall. Each one comes out in a Mother's Day frame with a line of your own words underneath, then your video, then the closing message. On the complete game the pictures move for a few seconds before they settle, which does something to an old photograph of her that a print cannot.

A prize photograph from a sample game, brought to life for a few seconds inside a gilded frame. The frame the prizes come out in for a Mother's Day game.
An example from the winter birthday demo, and the frame this occasion uses. The people in our sample games are invented.

The prizes, and what is written under them

  1. The first one A day worth keeping, and the people in it.
  2. And this one The ones who were there because she made sure of it.
  3. And this Somewhere you were all happy, caught before it passed.
  4. One more Because a lifetime is a lot of good days.
  5. And the last The picture everyone will want a copy of.

And then the last word

Happy Mother's Day, Sam

Thank you for every day

You made look easy.

These are the words we start from. You write your own captions, your own closing message, and choose which photograph comes last.

Add a gift card

You can slip a gift card into the game as well. On the extras step you say what kind of card it is, where it is used, the amount if you want it shown, and the code from the card you bought, with a line of your own to go with it. It comes out after the photographs, in a sealed envelope the player opens, and the code is written on the card inside. Any card from any shop works, because you tell us which. The code itself is never put in the game: it stays on our website, and the game asks for it at the moment the envelope is opened, so a copy of the game gives nothing away. It adds nothing to the price.

The gift card stage of a sample game: a sealed envelope with a gold ribbon and wax seal, with a small tag naming the card and the amount.
ClosedThe envelope as it arrives, after the photographs, in our castle birthday sample game.
The same envelope opened: the card slid out, with the kind of card, the amount, a sample code and the buyer's note written on it.
OpenedThe card with its words on it. The code here is a sample; the sample games are made for invented people.
